The name Voluspa comes from an ancient Norse poem — meaning beauty created from chaos. It’s a fitting origin for a brand that began in a California kitchen, born from a labour of love, and grew into one of the world’s most celebrated home fragrance companies.
Voluspa was founded in 1999 by Traci and Troy Arntsen. From that very first handcrafted collection, their vision was clear: to use scent as a portal — to transport you to a time, a place, a feeling, as vivid as a cherished memory. Each fragrance is designed to take your senses on a flight of fancy, to make your home feel like somewhere you truly want to be.
What began in a kitchen has grown into a global celebration of scent — but the spirit of craft has never left. Every Voluspa candle is still hand-poured in the United States, made with a proprietary coconut wax blend chosen for its exceptional scent throw and clean burn.
Voluspa is also a brand you can feel good about. Sustainable, ecologically sound, and free of pesticides, phthalates, parabens, and sulphates. Vegan, and never tested on animals. Beautiful in every sense of the word.
