Why a professional bra fitting beats guessing your size online

It’s tempting to just pick a size online and order away, especially when you’re busy. But here’s the truth after 32 years in this industry, most women guessing their own size get it wrong, and it’s not their fault. Bra sizing isn’t intuitive, and it changes more than people realise.

A professional fitting takes the guesswork out completely. We look at how a bra sits on your body in real time, the band, the cup, the way the wire follows your shape, things a tape measure or a size chart simply can’t tell you. It’s the difference between a bra that technically fits the numbers and one that actually feels right all day.

We also get to know your concerns, whether that’s comfort, support, a special occasion, or post surgery needs, and recommend styles you might never have picked yourself. That kind of guidance only comes from sitting down with someone who’s done thousands of fittings.

We’re proud to welcome women from Geelong, Ballarat and Warrnambool into our Colac store for exactly this reason, many tell us it’s the first time they’ve ever had a truly proper fitting. If it’s been a while, or you’ve never had one at all, we’d love to see you. It’s a quick appointment that makes a genuine difference to how you feel every single day.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How is a professional fitting different from measuring myself at home?

A: A fitter checks how the bra actually sits and moves on your body, not just numbers on a tape measure. This catches sizing issues that self measuring often misses, like band fit or cup shape.

Q: How long does a fitting take?

A: Most fittings take around 20 to 30 minutes. It’s relaxed and unhurried, so you have time to try a few styles and find what truly feels comfortable.

Q: I’m coming from Geelong, Ballarat or Warrnambool, is it worth the trip?

A: Absolutely, many of our regular customers travel in from these areas. A proper fitting once or twice a year makes online shopping afterwards so much easier too.

Q: Do I need to book an appointment?

A: Appointments aren’t required for general fittings, though calling ahead is always welcome. For post surgery or mastectomy fittings, we recommend phoning to arrange a private appointment.
