Why don’t we sell bras online? We do now!
February 5 2014Bra myths busted, and why we now sell online too
We know so many of you travel a fair distance to see us, whether you’re coming in from Geelong, Warrnambool, Ballarat, or somewhere in between, and we’ve always appreciated that effort. That’s part of why we’ve made it easier with our online store, perfect for browsing styles, colours, and our Beautiful Body range whenever it suits you, no matter how far away you are. But before you shop, we still want to bust a few of the most common bra myths, because the right fit always matters most, online or in store.
Myth one: you’re wearing the right size already. The truth is, most women aren’t. Your size can shift throughout the year with weight changes, hormones, life stages, or even just the season. A size that fit perfectly twelve months ago might not be quite right today, and that’s completely normal.
Myth two: all bras are the same. Full cup, balconette, and plunge styles all sit differently depending on your shape. What feels like heaven on one woman might dig in or gape on another, so it’s always worth trying a few styles to see what your body loves.
Myth three: one size fits all brands. Sizing varies hugely between brands, so don’t be surprised if you’re a 12B in one and a 14A in another. There’s no universal standard, so once you find a brand or two you love, you can shop those with confidence.
Myth four: tighter straps fix a bad fit. Straps aren’t meant to do the heavy lifting. Real support comes from the band sitting snugly around your ribcage. If you’re constantly tightening your straps, it’s usually a sign the band size needs adjusting, not the straps.
For our lovely ladies in Ballarat, Geelong and Warrnambool, we understand a trip into Colac isn’t always easy to fit into a busy week. That’s exactly why we built our online store, so you can shop our range from home, restock your favourites, or treat yourself without the drive. We’ve tried to make it as simple as possible, with clear sizing guides and styles sorted by fit and comfort.
That said, if you ever do find yourself heading towards Colac, even once a year, we’d love to get you in for a proper fitting. There’s nothing quite like having an experienced fitter check you’re in the right size and shape of bra for your body right now. It makes shopping online afterwards so much easier too, because you’ll know exactly what to look for.
Whether you’re shopping with us online or visiting us in person, our goal is always the same, helping you feel comfortable, supported and confident in what you’re wearing. Visit us at just-lovely.square.site, or pop in store any time. We’re only ever a message away if you need a hand.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Can I trust my size will be right buying online?
A: It helps enormously if you’ve been professionally fitted before, even once. From there, our online store makes restocking favourites easy. If you’re ever unsure, message us before ordering, we’re happy to guide you through sizing.
Q: Do all brands run the same sizing?
A: No, sizing varies a lot between brands, so don’t worry if your size differs from one label to the next. It’s completely normal and part of why trying a few options helps you find your favourites.
Q: I’m in Warrnambool, Ballarat or Geelong, is it still worth getting fitted in Colac?
A: Absolutely, even an annual visit makes a real difference. Once you know your fitted size, shopping online becomes so much simpler, and you’ll have a trusted base to work from for future purchases.
Q: How often should I get refitted?
A: We recommend roughly every six months, as bodies change more than we realise. Weight shifts, life stages, and even the seasons can all affect your fit and comfort.
