Every stage, every change: Women from Warrnambool to Geelong are coming to Just Lovely Colac to help with their personal wellbeing.
July 6 2017Every stage, every change: we’ve got you
Let’s be honest, being a woman comes with a lot of body changes, and not all of them come with an instruction manual. We see it every day at Just Lovely, so let’s talk through some of the moments that tend to bring women through our door.
That very first bra
Remember your first bra fitting? For a lot of girls, it’s daunting. What size do I need? What style suits me? Will this be embarrassing? We get it, and we make sure that first experience feels nothing like you’re imagining. No judgement, just a gentle, patient chat to get you sorted.
Pregnancy, and all the changes that come with it
Then there’s pregnancy, sometimes more than once, and with it comes a whole new set of questions. Your body is changing, your bust is changing, and comfort suddenly matters more than ever. When should you buy your first maternity bra? Honestly, as soon as your usual bra starts feeling tight or uncomfortable, it’s time to come in and get remeasured.
Getting older, and everything that brings
Later on, there’s another shift. Maybe you’re noticing your body changing again, dealing with night sweats, or your bust just isn’t sitting where it used to. For some women, this stage also comes with a breast cancer diagnosis, something we take incredibly seriously and handle with real care and discretion. Whatever the reason, we’re here to help you feel comfortable and supported through it.
Starting something new
And sometimes it’s simpler than all that, maybe you’re just starting a new exercise routine and wondering if you actually need a sports bra. (Spoiler, you probably do, and we can help you find the right one.)
Whatever stage you’re at, we’d love for you to pop into Just Lovely in Colac for a chat. We’re discreet, we’re understanding, and we’ve genuinely heard it all. Let us help make your journey a little easier.
Frequently asked questions
Q: I’m embarrassed about my first bra fitting, is that normal?
A: Completely normal, and very common. Our fitters are gentle, patient and non judgemental, and we’ll go at whatever pace makes you comfortable.
Q: When should I buy my first maternity bra?
A: As soon as your regular bra starts feeling tight or uncomfortable, often around the second trimester. Your needs will keep changing, so we recommend a few refits throughout pregnancy.
Q: Can you help with bra fittings after a breast cancer diagnosis?
A: Yes, we offer sensitive, private fittings for post surgery needs, including breast forms and prostheses. We handle every appointment with care and complete discretion.
Q: How do I know if I need a sports bra?
A: If you’re starting any new exercise, from walking to netball, a proper sports bra will make a real difference to your comfort. We’re happy to help you find the right one.
Q: Do I need to book an appointment to be fitted?
A: Not necessarily, walk ins are welcome. If you have any concerns beforehand, it’s a good idea to give us a call so we can chat it through first.
